Mortgage Originations Regulatory Compliance 101

This event has already occurred.
Webinar

Residential mortgage lending is a highly regulated industry. When a company offers residential mortgage loans to consumers, the company must often be licensed or authorized to offer the loans and provide very specific consumer disclosures. Furthermore, the company must adhere to strict business practice rules. Accordingly, attorneys advising companies about their compliance obligations will need to be familiar with the entire regulatory landscape governing residential mortgage lending. This program will focus on an introduction to the origination of residential mortgage loans and cover licensing, advertising rules, fair lending requirements, compensation restrictions, and loan underwriting and documentation. This program is for attorneys that are new to the residential mortgage originations space or for those that simply want a refresher.
