Meaghan Kent will speak on a panel, “Copyright & Artificial Intelligence Worldwide: Regulatory and Case Law Developments (20242026)From the EU AI Act to the Courts of the United States, the United Kingdom, and China,” on April 14. The panel will be part of the 5th Scientific Meeting of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association’s Study Committees and offer a critical survey of key decisions and major disputes involving AI and copyright across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States (e.g., the Thomson Reuters case in Delaware and the Anthropic and Meta cases in California, all addressing training practices and fair use), the United Kingdom (Getty Images v. Stability AI), and China (cases concerning the protection of AI-generated images).
