Nick has negotiated a wide range of complex contracts, including loan modifications and workouts, lease and sublease agreements and related consents, purchase and sale agreements, hotel management agreements and modifications thereof, and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements. Nick is also well versed in Maryland local counsel opinions and recordation and transfer tax issues.
In addition, Nick has negotiated and closed the purchase and sale of hotels and thereby understands the complexities of selling ongoing businesses.

- Aided a large hotel chain with the restructuring of hotel management agreements spanning hotels from coast to coast
- Negotiated and closed a series of loan modification agreements for a special servicing client with respect to a group of borrowers exiting bankruptcy
- Negotiated and closed a receivership sale of a hotel in the Washington, DC suburbs that presented numerous COVID-related and other complex issues
- Helped a client undergoing corporate restructuring navigate landlord notice and consent requirements with respect to dozens of leases worldwide
