Nick represents borrowers, lenders, special servicers, landlords, tenants, sellers, purchasers, developers, owners, managers, and operators in all manner of transactions. His practice also includes aiding clients in foreclosure and receivership matters, which provides a deeper understanding of the practical implications of loan document contractual provisions.
Nick has negotiated a wide range of complex contracts, including loan modifications and workouts, lease and sublease agreements and related consents, purchase and sale agreements, hotel management agreements and modifications thereof, and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements. Nick is also well versed in Maryland local counsel opinions and recordation and transfer tax issues.
In addition, Nick has negotiated and closed the purchase and sale of hotels and thereby understands the complexities of selling ongoing businesses.
