Carissa Davis helps clients stay on top of frequent changes to labor and employment law so they can manage risk and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Carissa offers counsel and provides litigation defense regarding wage-and-hour laws, including class and collective actions, restrictive covenants, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, and other employment matters. She also helps develop and implement plans to improve compliance and reduce conflict, and, when necessary, she fiercely defends clients in litigation. This full-service approach helps Carissa build strong and productive relationships with her clients that contribute to their long-term success.
Carissa works to include and promote unique perspectives across the Colorado legal community as part of her support of diversity and inclusion activities. Her collaborative work style and high personal standards have earned her the respect of clients and colleagues. Prior to joining Venable, Carissa built her experience as an associate at a law firm, a summer associate at a Fortune 100 company, and an intern at the Colorado Court of Appeals. She is also the Denver deputy for WAVe (Women Attorneys at Venable).
