Jonathan Falkler is a member of Venable's Intellectual Property Group. A registered patent attorney, he has experience in patent prosecution and litigation involving various technological fields, including computer software, telecommunications systems, semiconductor manufacture and design, complex data storage devices, encryption systems, imager technology and mechanical devices. Jon has represented clients in cases before numerous district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Jon has experience in all phases of litigation, including conducting initial case assessment, managing discovery and motions practice, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, and participating in settlement negotiations, trial, and appeals.
During law school, Jon was an academic research assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Posner, and he served as an editor for The University of Chicago Legal Forum. Prior to law school, Jon worked as a technical specialist for a leading data security company.
