Barry Gruher concentrates his practice in the areas of complex bankruptcy; commercial, director, and officer liability; professional negligence; fraudulent transfer; and banking litigation in the bankruptcy, federal district, and state courts, including assignment for the benefit of creditors, business reorganization, creditor workouts, and creditor/debtor rights. Barry has extensive experience in representing trustees, fiduciaries, debtors, and creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings. In addition, his practice focuses on bankruptcy and state court appeals, general corporate and shareholder disputes, real estate litigation, and secured transactional matters.
Barry has a number of reported decisions from the bankruptcy courts in the Southern District of Florida and state court of appeals. He has previously served on the Local Rules Committee for Chapter 7 cases for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida, and is an active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar.
