Matthew Julyan

Matthew Julyan represents clients in high-stakes intellectual property litigation, focusing on trademark and copyright disputes. Matthew leverages his technical knowledge and strategic perspective to help safeguard creative assets, resolve disputes, and anticipate challenges in fast-moving digital markets. He also counsels his clients on issues involving artificial intelligence (AI), including the copyright implications of generative AI technologies and various compliance risks. He closely monitors developments in AI-related litigation and has facilitated legal roundtable discussions on emerging copyright issues tied to AI.

Matthew has represented clients in federal courts as well as in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) opposition proceedings. He also has experience advising on brand and content matters, addressing claims of counterfeiting, false advertising, and unfair competition. Before his legal career, Matthew worked in technical sales for a company providing IT solutions to government offices.
