Anne F. Le Rolle, Ph.D.

Senior Technical Patent Advisor

With experience in both U.S. and European patent law, Anne guides biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on patent strategy and prosecution across a range of innovations, including cell and gene therapies, biologics, vaccines, and small molecules. Prior to joining Venable, Anne worked at a European IP firm, where she advised clients on European patent prosecution and opposition proceedings. She earned a Ph.D. in immunology, focusing on MHC antigen processing and T cell activation—core principles of immunotherapy. She also conducted postdoctoral research at several leading institutions, investigating the role of KRAS signaling in cancer initiation.
