May Lonergan

Privacy Program and Policy Analyst

May Lonergan develops robust programs to protect clients' data and privacy. May has deep knowledge of complex legal issues related to online speech regulation and digital rights, honed through a background in legal research and analysis. Before joining Venable, she conducted legal research for a public policy think tank, focusing on online content moderation, First Amendment rights, Section 230, and the legal aspects of artificial intelligence (AI) and intellectual property regulation. Previously, May researched Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) compliance with regard to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations, as a law clerk for a Virginia firm.
