Allison C. Nelson

Associate

Allison Nelson represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts and in arbitration. Allison has experience preparing and arguing dispositive motions, conducting witness interviews, taking and defending depositions, and drafting discovery responses and appellate briefs. At Venable, her practice has largely focused on consumer class action defense under California’s Automatic Renewal Law. She also has experience in a wide variety of other practice areas, including white collar, trade secret, securities, intellectual property, trusts and estates, and employment litigation.

Allison was an associate attorney at a boutique labor and employment and business litigation firm in Los Angeles prior to joining Venable. There, she defended clients in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), assisted with drafting a petition for writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court and appellate briefs filed in the Ninth and Sixth Circuits, and negotiated favorable settlements in several consumer litigation matters. Allison was also a litigation associate at a large national law firm based in Los Angeles.
