Allison C. Nelson


Allison Nelson represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts and arbitration. As a litigator, Allison has experience preparing and arguing dispositive motions, conducting witness interviews, taking and defending depositions, and drafting discovery responses and appellate briefs. She has worked on consumer class action, white collar, trade secret, securities, and employment matters, as well as mass arbitrations.

Prior to joining Venable, Allison was an associate attorney at a boutique labor and employment and business litigation firm in Los Angeles. There, she defended clients in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), assisted with drafting a petition for writ of certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court and appellate briefs filed in the Ninth and Sixth Circuits, and negotiated favorable settlements in several consumer litigation matters. Allison was also a litigation associate at a large national law firm based in Los Angeles.
