Brandon Phemester advises clients on domestic and international patent strategy spanning biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced manufacturing. Brandon has industry experience prosecuting patent applications, conducting freedom-to-operate and invalidity analyses, and supporting intellectual property (IP) litigation. His background in scientific research is the foundation of his solutions-oriented approach to IP protection. Before joining Venable, Brandon served in in-house and law firm positions, where he led examiner interviews, managed patent portfolios, and contributed to trade secret strategy.
