Brandon Phemester advises clients on domestic and international patent strategy spanning biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced manufacturing. Brandon has industry experience prosecuting patent applications, conducting freedom-to-operate and invalidity analyses, and supporting intellectual property (IP) litigation. His background in scientific research is the foundation of his solutions-oriented approach to IP protection. Before joining Venable, Brandon served in in-house and law firm positions, where he led examiner interviews, managed patent portfolios, and contributed to trade secret strategy. He is currently studying at the Franklin Pierce School of Law, where he is chief notes editor of the Sports Law Review.
