Porotsky Sophia

Sophia Porotsky focuses her practice on complex civil litigation. Sophia has represented clients in a broad range of matters, including shareholder demand investigations and derivative actions on behalf of independent board committees, securities class action defense, federal and state government enforcement defense, and white collar criminal defense. Prior to joining Venable, she worked as an associate at a New York-based boutique litigation firm.

In law school, Sophia was an award-winning competitor and executive board member of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocates and a member of the Moot Court team. She also spent two semesters as a legal intern in Fordham's Federal Litigation Clinic, representing indigent clients in civil and criminal proceedings in district court and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
