Amit Rana
In particular, Amit has extensive experience successfully defending against consumer class actions, including those brought under unfair competition and false advertising laws. He has defended more than 100 threatened or filed consumer class actions and brings creative legal solutions to accommodate business needs in a variety of industries, including consumer-packaged goods, multi-site franchises, food/restaurant, and computer software.
Amit also maintains a broad commercial litigation practice. His commercial practice focuses on partnership disputes, trade secrets, stock/equity disputes, and matters brought under the Lanham Act. Amit also regularly provides litigation and class action avoidance counseling and conducts mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence for advertising and marketing exposure.
Amit also routinely represents clients in pro bono matters and is proud to have obtained positive results on behalf of asylum seekers, victims of domestic violence, prisoners, and those facing housing and employment discrimination.
