In her time as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Allison managed and investigated civil False Claims Act (FCA) cases originating from qui tam relators, disclosures, and government sources alleging federal procurement, international trade, and healthcare fraud. Allison draws on this experience and her background in regulatory compliance to guide clients through the many challenges that arise for federally funded for-profit and non-profit entities.
Allison has served as an adjunct professor of legal writing at her alma mater, George Mason University. Before her legal career, Allison spent four years as a program analyst for a federal contractor with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Student and Exchange Visitor Program. In that role, she facilitated collaboration between development teams and DHS units to advance agency initiatives and maintain compliance with federal regulations. She also analyzed federal regulations with policy and privacy units to prioritize regulation changes and database development. Prior to that, Allison maintained university compliance with federal immigration regulations for international students and advised on immigration matters at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
