Salguero Carlos

Carlos Salguero is a commercial litigator who brings substantial federal judicial experience to his practice. Carlos began his legal career here at Venable in commercial litigation and returned to the group after completing two federal judicial clerkships. His litigation practice focuses on resolving complex commercial and contractual disputes, intellectual property (IP) claims, and securities litigation across a variety of fora. Carlos brings a wide breadth of experience to Venable. Here he has worked on multi-million-dollar jury trials, commercial arbitrations, copyright infringement matters, contract and governance disputes, and securities litigations.

Carlos earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. As a student, he was selected to serve in the chambers of the Honorable Lorna G. Schofield in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York as both an Alexander Fellow and a recipient of the American Bar Association’s Judicial Internship Opportunity Program. Carlos is active in DEI and mentorship programs both at the Venable and for the bar at large.
