Jamie Schumacher advises technology companies, global brands, and emerging platforms on trust and safety, public affairs, and crisis strategy. With more than two decades of experience, Jamie supports clients navigating legislative scrutiny and high-profile reputational challenges. Before joining Venable, she founded and led JMS Public Relations, a boutique strategic communications firm. She draws on this experience as she positions clients to move forward with confidence in rapidly evolving environments. Jamie has led communications strategies surrounding complex safety and privacy matters, helping organizations engage constructively with policymakers, advocacy groups, and the media.

Jamie's career spans senior in-house leadership and entrepreneurial advisory roles focused on safety, security, and privacy issues in the technology and media sectors. She previously served as the director of public affairs for News Corporation's online properties, including MySpace, AmericanIdol.com, Photobucket, Rotten Tomatoes, and AskMen, where she assisted entertainment and media corporations in strategy development, reputation management, and product delivery. Jamie has also advanced child safety initiatives, supported the launch of emerging safety technologies, and directed crisis and enforcement-related communications, integrating legal, policy, and communications strategies.
