Rachele S. Sokolis

Norfolk Rachele
Rachele Sokolis focuses on complex pharmaceutical litigation. This includes the defense of pharmaceutical companies in multidistrict litigation (MDL) and statewide coordinated proceedings. Rachele has experience drafting various court submissions, including dispositive motions and motions to compel; responding to written discovery; assisting with the factual development of the "company case"; and preparing corporate designees for depositions. In addition to her work on large-scale, consolidated pharmaceutical cases, Rachele has defended clients in individual cases pending in state and federal courts. Her work in this area includes drafting motions and jury instructions.

In 2015, Rachele was a summer associate with another law firm in Baltimore, where she performed legal research related to products liability and corporate and securities cases, drafted legal memoranda on the "new evidence" standard under FRCP 59, analyzed discovery materials, summarized medical records and depositions, reviewed a bankruptcy plan of reorganization and compiled plan administrator duties, and gathered information on the enforceability of electronic signatures under the E-Sign Act.
