Harrison Taylor is a seasoned civil litigator whose practice focuses on product liability and mass tort litigation involving pharmaceutical and biologics products. Harrison also represents companies across a range of industries, including media and entertainment, as well as financial services. He advises clients throughout all phases of complex litigation in state and federal courts, developing case strategy, leading dispositive motion practice, managing large-scale discovery, and preparing and defending expert and fact witnesses.

Prior to joining Venable, Harrison represented clients in commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, and internal investigations at a New York-based law firm. His experience includes matters involving accounting fraud, the False Claims Act (FCA), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), giving him a broad background in government investigations, regulatory matters, and high-stakes disputes.

Representative Matters

Defended the manufacturer of an adult vaccine in nationwide litigation, including consolidated proceedings in multidistrict litigation and two state courts, involving allegations that the vaccine failed to prevent its intended illness and increased the likelihood of contracting the virus, if taken. Developed several individual cases and expert witnesses, prepared and defended multiple company and expert witnesses, and contributed to the overall litigation strategy
Defended the manufacturer of a pediatric vaccine in a False Claims Act case involving allegations of fraudulent conduct in a clinical trial and misstatement of a product's efficacy. Played an integral role in developing, deposing, and defending numerous expert witnesses and preparing successful dispositive motions
Defended the manufacturer of a pediatric vaccine in a lawsuit alleging that brain injury resulted from vaccination. Assisted with case strategy and the drafting of a successful dispositive motion
Defended the manufacturer of an iron replacement product against multiple lawsuits alleging various injuries purportedly caused by a temporary decrease in blood phosphate levels. Conducted individual case workup and co-authored multiple motions to exclude certain expert testimony and dispositive motions
Defended a transportation company against lawsuits alleging wrongful death resulting from the negligent operation of its semi-trailer trucks
