Taylor Harrison

Harrison Taylor focuses on product liability and mass tort litigation involving pharmaceutical and biologics products. Harrison has substantive litigation experience in state and federal courts, including case strategy, managing and coordinating discovery, drafting various pre- and post-trial motions, expert witness preparation, and conducting legal research and analysis.

Prior to joining Venable, Harrison was an associate at a New York-based law firm, where his practice focused on commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, and internal investigations involving accounting fraud issues, the False Claims Act, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Representative Matters

  • Defending the manufacturer of an adult vaccine in nationwide litigation, including consolidated proceedings in multidistrict litigation and two state courts, involving allegations that the vaccine failed to prevent its intended illness and increased the likelihood of contracting the virus, if taken. Developing several individual cases and expert witnesses, preparing and defending multiple company and expert witnesses, and contributing to overall litigation strategy
  • Defended the manufacturer of a pediatric vaccine in a False Claims Act case involving allegations of fraudulent conduct in a clinical trial and misstatement of a product's efficacy. Played an integral role in developing, deposing, and defending numerous expert witnesses and preparing successful dispositive motions
  • Defended the manufacturer of a pediatric vaccine in a lawsuit alleging that brain injury resulted from vaccination. Assisted with case strategy and the drafting of a successful dispositive motion
  • Defended the manufacturer of an iron replacement product against multiple lawsuits alleging various injuries purportedly caused by a temporary decrease in blood phosphate levels. Conducted individual case workup and co-authored multiple motions to exclude certain expert testimony and dispositive motions
