Jaden C. Thornton

Associate

Jaden Thornton focuses on assisting clients with commercial litigation matters. Jaden's practice is informed by his wide range of experience, which includes working with a Baltimore nonprofit to connect low-income Marylanders to legal support, serving as a senior staff member for the N.Y. Real Property Journal, and participating on the trial advocacy team in law school. He also gained hands-on experience as an intern to the Honorable P. Kevin Castel, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Honorable Mark A. Barnett, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of International Trade.

While attending law school, Jaden developed a strong basis of knowledge as a tutor and teaching assistant in civil procedure, criminal law, and legal writing. Jaden also devoted time to providing pro bono services and received a public service award for completing more than 500 hours of pro bono work throughout his law school tenure. He began his Venable career as a summer associate in 2023.
