Venable partner Stu Ingis
was quoted in a January 20 Direct Marketing News
article discussing the Digital Advertising Alliance's (DAA) endorsement of online security firm TRUSTe's new "Trusted Ads" platform, which will allow consumers to opt out of all or some tracking used by online advertisers. According to the article, the platform will also enable advertisers to track and report on how consumers are interacting with the ads.
Ingis, who represents the DAA, said, "We're talking with policymakers about the success of the program, and they want to see us succeed."
He added, "We're excited about the TRUSTe announcement because they have a good client base that will be deploying the icon, and a well-known brand in the consumer trust area."
