Venable partner Tom Quinn was quoted in a July 20, 2011 article in The Hill about the debate over the debt ceiling and the impact it is having on K Street and lobbying businesses.
Quinn referred to the debt ceiling debate as the, "gorilla in the room." Quinn continued saying, "To a certain degree, the issues have almost gotten out of the lobbyists’ hands and into the political leadership...The Senate, the House and the Gang of Six have sought the advice of the business community, which I would say is represented by the lobbyists. But as much input as we have, it is certainly left up to the leadership and the White House."
