A March 8, 2012 article in the New York Law Journal featured Venable’s participation in the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York which was held from March 4-6. The article highlighted partner Mike Volpe, of counsel Kristine Sova, and associate Dismas Locaria who represented Venable at the annual trade show which drew an estimated 20,000 attendees.
Commenting on Venable’s participation in the trade show, Volpe said, “We thought the show exposed us to a number of businesses of very different sizes…We think it's going to provide some opportunity to us in the coming months.” During the trade show, Sova and Locaria presented a March 4 seminar on immigration compliance. Noting that trade shows offer invaluable opportunities to become better acquainted with issues facing clients, Sova said, “I want to know my clients' industry and I want them to feel that I care and understand what they deal with on a day-to-day basis.”
