A June 1, 2012 Law360 article highlighted Venable’s recent victory on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. in multidistrict litigation over alleged side effects of Parkinson's treatment Mirapex.

The Eighth Circuit upheld a lower court’s decision that Boehringer, Pfizer Inc. and Pharmacia Corp. were not liable for plaintiff’s gambling and other compulsive behaviors. In its ruling, the Eighth Circuit agreed that because the plaintiff knew of a possible connection between his behavior and the drug more than two years before filing suit, his claims fell outside the statute of limitations.

Venable partners Bruce Parker and Jason Rose represented Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.
