Venable partner Stu Ingis was quoted in a February 6, 2013 Law360 article on Facebook’s decision to adopt the AdChoices icon developed by the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA). The AdChoices icon will be installed on targeted ads on the social network’s website that will allow users to opt out of targeted advertising.
Ingis, who serves as counsel to the DAA, said the organization was “delighted” by Facebook’s move to adopt the AdChoices icon. “They have tremendous reach and participation,” Ingis added. “This step will further strength the transparency and trust for consumers that the DAA provides.”
