Venable represents Computech in connection with purchase of its capital stock by NCI

In a transaction that closed on January 1, 2015, Venable represented Computech, Inc. in connection with the purchase of all of its capital stock by NCI, Inc. The acquisition was reported in the Washington Post on December 30, 2014 and the Washington Business Journal on December 31.

Computech was founded in 1979 and is based in Bethesda, Maryland. It provides software development and information technology (IT) operations and maintenance services to Federal civilian customers, including the Federal Communications Commission, the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Homeland Security.

NCI is headquartered in Reston, Virginia and provides IT enterprise solutions and services to U.S. defense, intelligence, health care and civilian government agencies.

The Venable team members that participated in the transaction were as follows: Paul Kaplun, Ricky Johnson, Laura Springer, Alexis Martirosian and Parker Morrill on corporate, business and structural matters; John Wilhelm on employee benefit matters; Norman Lencz and Chris Davidson on tax matters; Dismas Locaria and Elizabeth Buehler on government contract matters; and William Russell and Linda Zirkelbach on intellectual property matters.
