Venable partner Peter Koffler was quoted in a February 11, 2016 Law360 article on the recent sale of New York's iconic Hotel Elysee. Koffler along with associate Jared Wachtler represented the family owners of the historic hotel in a deal worth $55 million. Built in 1927 and home to the famed Monkey Bar, the hotel has a unique name for each of its room instead of numbers.
"The purchasers ended up being the existing … operator of the hotel, which was a natural fit ... This was a happy conclusion for all involved," said Koffler. "It's always interesting to work on transactions involving iconic New York properties, and this is certainly one of them. It was a transaction where everybody involved had their interests best served."
