District Court Judge Robert Blakey of the Northern District of Illinois has denied a motion to stop construction of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. Fred Wagner and members of the Environmental Practice Group worked with the Obama Foundation for the past three years to obtain multiple federal approvals and to complete a comprehensive environmental assessment and historic resources report related to the project. Construction should begin in mid-August. The project, located in Jackson Park on the South Side of Chicago, will take about four years to complete.
