On June 9, 2023, the Daily Record recognized Susan Schipper, an associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice in the Baltimore office, among its Leading Women Under 40 for 2023.
The Leading Women honor identifies women who are 40 years old or younger for the tremendous accomplishments they have made so far in their careers. They are judged on professional experience, community involvement, and their commitment to inspiring change. Winners are selected by a judging panel made up of some of last year’s Leading Women honorees and a representative from the Daily Record.
Susan Schipper has experience representing energy-sector clients in high-stakes and complex regulatory matters, trials, and appeals. Susan has authored and assisted in authoring numerous appellate briefs and dispositive motions in state and federal courts. She also has significant experience representing clients before state regulatory commissions and securing successful resolutions in litigation and regulatory proceedings regarding offshore wind project development, Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) applications, rate cases, and large utility mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
