American Bar Foundation Elects David Levie as a Fellow

David Levie, an associate at Venable LLP in its Washington, DC office, has been elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). Mr. Levie joins the global society of attorneys, judges, legal professionals, and scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities. Membership is limited to 1% of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the ABF board.

Mr. Levie focuses his practice on complex business litigation, including breach of contract actions, tort actions, construction disputes, and disputes relating to real estate transactions and land development projects, as well as negotiating complex construction transaction documents on behalf of owners, contractors, and other construction professionals. His litigation experience brings a key perspective to his transactional practice, while his transactional practice similarly strengthens his litigation practice.  His clients include public and private companies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals working across a broad range of industries.

Mr. Levie is also active in his community.  He is on the board of the Council for Court Excellence and currently serves as the president of the board for the Abramson Scholarship Foundation, a scholarship foundation for Washington, DC public high school students.
