Brian O'Connor and Norman Lencz spoke on Day Four – "Real Estate and Partnerships" – of the Advanced Tax Institute, a four-day tax seminar sponsored jointly by the Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) and the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA), on November 21 in Baltimore. Their presentation, which was entitled “Structuring Real Estate Partnership/LLC Divorces,” provided a practical guide to formulating effective structures for accomplishing a real estate partnership or LLC divorce with a minimum of adverse tax consequences.
