Venable attorneys Melissa Steinman and Katie Sheridan will present "Digital Influencers Inspiring Youth Engagement" to a group of visiting Peruvian educators and business leaders as part of the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), hosted by the Graduate School USA's International Institute in Washington, D.C. on October 22, 2019. Ms. Steinman and Ms. Sheridan will discuss the use of digital tools in advertising and media, how digital tools have given rise to citizen journalists and have allowed young people to connect with their communities, how mainstream institutions are working with digital influencers to empower youth, and how media makers promote citizen engagement.
