Jeremiah Kelly and Justin Coen will participate on panels at the upcoming Operation Warp Speed 2.0 Conference on December 5, 2024. Jeremiah and Justin were invited to participate on these panels because of their extensive work for the U.S. Department of Defense in support of Operation Warp Speed during the COVID-19 pandemic response.
Jeremiah will participate as a panelist alongside Peter Marks, director of the FDA Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), in the session “Regulatory Science: How Regulatory Capacity and Advance Guidance Can Accelerate Development.” He will be sharing his insights into optimizing the regulatory framework for faster innovation.
Meanwhile, Justin will moderate the session “Interagency Coordination for Pandemic Preparedness and Response,” fostering discussions on enhancing collaboration among agencies to ensure a strong response to future health crises. The panel will feature Dr. Robert Kadlec, Colonel Vic Suarez, and Dr. Paul Friedrichs, all of whom played significant roles in the development and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
Both panels will highlight critical aspects of advancing public health through innovation and strategic coordination, underscoring the importance of leadership in these domains, which highlights the main theme of OWS 2.0: Applying Pull Funding and Regulatory Capacity to Advance New Biotechnologies and Prevent Pandemics.
