The Daily Record. Kevin's article provided insights into two recent opinions from the Maryland Court of Appeals affecting transaction lawyers. One case dealt with whether parties to a contract can agree to shorten the statute of limitations period, and the other case involved the judicial enforcement of a provision in an easement agreement shifting the obligation to pay attorneys' fees in a first-party fee shifting provision (Venable represented the prevailing party in the latter case).
