Many lawyers have heard of the famous Battle of Thermopylae, during which a relatively small Greek force defeated a numerically superior Persian army in 480 B.C.
The tale of Thermopylae, which has been retold in popular movies, books and podcasts, and is still taught in history classes around the world, highlights the achievements of 300 Spartan warriors, who were able to hold back thousands of Persians in battle by blocking a narrow pass through which the Persian army had to advance.
