Lindsay Heitger concentrates her practice on real estate law and associated bankruptcy and creditor's rights issues. Lindsay advises clients on matters related to commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, finance, real estate owned (REO) disposition and loss mitigation, special asset management programs, and commercial leasing. She regularly analyzes zoning and land use issues for commercial, residential, and mixed-use development projects. Her practice also includes assisting clients with real estate contract disputes with a focus on successful resolution to avoid litigation.
Lindsay's ability to provide advice to clients on real estate matters is augmented by her background in bankruptcy law and related litigation. Her experience with bankruptcy matters includes representation of individual and commercial debtors as well as secured and unsecured creditors in a variety of matters including bankruptcy estate administration; drafting, negotiating, and objecting to plans of reorganization and liquidation; drafting, reconciling, and objecting to proofs of claim; and resolution of contract disputes.
She completed a clerkship for the Honorable Robert G. Mayer in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 2011.
