Jodi Krame focuses on real estate and business transactions, helping clients navigate complex acquisitions and sales, financing transactions, real estate development, and commercial leasing for all major commercial property types. In addition to counseling buyers and sellers of commercial properties, Jodi has significant experience representing commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) special servicers in the disposition of commercial loans and real estate owned (REO) properties from CMBS trusts, as well as with CMBS loan workouts.

In corporate and municipal finance transactions, Jodi has counseled investment bankers in debt structuring, due diligence and disclosure requirements, rating process, and negotiation and preparation of disclosure, security, and financing documents.

Jodi has represented broadcasters, investors, and lenders in the acquisition, sale, and financing of broadcast stations and related real property holdings.

Prior to joining the firm, Jodi was an attorney in the real estate group of an international law firm, where she counseled major foreign institutional investors on numerous real estate investments in the United States.

Representative Matters

  • Represented CMBS special servicers in the disposition of more than $4 billion in non-performing/defaulted commercial loans and REO properties throughout the United States 
  • Represented CMBS special servicers in the workout of defaulted commercial loans, many in the hospitality industry
  • Represented a client in the acquisition of a $58 million commercial office property using a 1031 exchange
  • Assisted a client in the recapitalization of a $33 million office building portfolio
  • Represented a client in the acquisition and financing of 15 multi-state bank offices
  • Assisted a client with refinancing a $45 million multi-state hospital acquisition
  • Assisted a client in the sale of various shopping centers, apartment complexes, and office buildings
  • Represented landlords and tenants in office and retail lease negotiations, including the negotiation of a $40 million sale and leaseback of 12 telecommunication towers
