Christina Lara advises corporations, nonprofit organizations, and political committees in support of our Nonprofit and Political Law Practice Groups. Christina provides guidance on a broad range of issues, including campaign finance, elections laws, gifts and ethics rules, lobbying disclosure, and charitable fundraising. She also advises clients on nonprofit tax compliance, corporate governance, and contract negotiation and review, among other transactional and regulatory matters. She helps clients achieve their strategic objectives in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Christina has served as a law clerk with the Smithsonian Institution, the Obama Foundation, and the U.S. Senate HELP Committee. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Peter J. Messitte of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and worked as a teaching assistant for a federal income tax law class. Christina brings valuable experience from nearly a decade working in the nonprofit sector prior to her legal career.
