Jahmel Martin

Jahmel Martin helps a diverse range of clients navigate complex commercial and residential real estate matters. Jahmel is a problem solver, reflecting a commitment to collaboration, high-quality service, and responsiveness. He has assisted clients on a range of matters, including land use, landmarks, zoning, and other regulatory approvals. He has also assisted with financing, construction and development agreements, leasing transactions, and property disposition.

Before joining Venable, Jahmel was the 17th Ralph C. Menapace fellow in Urban Land Use Law at the Municipal Art Society of New York. In this role, he worked on policy development and legal advocacy addressing current urban land use issues in New York City, such as affordable housing, environmental review regulations, climate adaptation, historic preservation, and land use and zoning laws. 

While attending Rutgers Law School, Jahmel served as a property law teaching fellow and as a student attorney in the Civil Justice Clinic, where he focused on federal and state housing law. He was also a National Mock Trial Team member.
