Matt Schofield counsels his clients on a wide variety of corporate law matters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, equity investments, and general corporate governance. With clients ranging from start-ups to later-stage companies working in an array of industries, including technology, healthcare, commercial equipment, cybersecurity, and food service, Matt has gained broad experience in negotiating and drafting key business documents for many different types of complex deals. Matt also assists LGBTQ+ business owners in developing creative ways to grow and expand their businesses.

Before joining Venable, Matt taught Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 at Miami Central High School in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
