Kaelyne Yumul Wietelman advises clients on compliance with federal and state marketing and advertising laws. With a background in consumer protection and privacy, Kaelyne has helped clients substantiate claims related to price advertising and environmental and health benefits and has counseled clients on disclosures for autorenewal programs, influencers, endorsements, testimonials, reviews, and promotions. She has also defended clients before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), National Advertising Division (NAD), and state attorneys general in investigations and inquiries into product marketing.

Kaelyne brings to her practice firsthand experience advising on consumer protection issues during secondments with prominent brands, including a major athletic footwear and apparel corporation and a leading computer and technology company. She is experienced in providing counsel on autorenewal laws, the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act (CAN-SPAM), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (ROSCA), and telemarketing laws. She has also counseled clients on state privacy and data protection laws, including the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), the California Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA).
