  • Represented an excess insurer in the defense of an errors and omissions coverage dispute involving a claim in excess of $150 million by a multinational insured
  • Represented one of the Washington, DC area’s largest public transportation entities in its property insurance coverage dispute following a significant railcar accident. The claim included substantial business interruption and extra expense components
  • Assisted a major food service company in obtaining a successful resolution in its substantial business interruption claims related to Hurricane Katrina
  • Successfully acted as lead trial counsel for nineteen insurers against claims for reimbursement for occupational hearing loss claims asserted by thousands of employees, including obtaining a successful jury verdict and an affirming appellate decision
  • Provided insurance coverage advice in connection with an urban fire in Manhattan that caused extensive damage to a high rise and involved the death of two firefighters 
  • Served as claims counsel to a national association’s captive insurer, advising on coverage issues and claims resolution, and litigating commercial lines coverage matters
  • Defended and prosecuted coverage claims on behalf of a Fortune-listed national homebuilder in the midst of substantial construction defect litigation
  • Represented former officers and directors of failed community and regional banks to secure Directors and Officers (D&O) insurance coverage for claims made by the FDIC
  • Represented insurers who provided primary and excess coverage to a national bank through manuscript policies in insurance coverage litigation for claims related to alleged investment bank misconduct related to Enron
