Venable team participates in Springboard Enterprises' AllThingsLifeSciences venture forum

A team of Venable attorneys will serve as coaches for CloSys Corporation, a company selected to present at Springboard Enterprises' October 2009 AllThingsLifeSciences venture road show. Venable's interdisciplinary/interoffice coaching team consists of Chuck Morton, Tom Barry and Carmen Fonda and will assist CloSys in preparing and presenting its venture presentation at the Forum events.

Springboard Enterprises is the go-to organization for information about and support for emerging growth ventures led by women. Springboard has become a central player in the infrastructure that fosters women's entrepreneurship with the goal of connecting women entrepreneurs and investors nationally and globally. What began as a series of Venture Capital Forums seeded and promoted by hundreds of supporters has proven to be a highly effective model for fast-tracking women entrepreneurs into the equity markets. Springboard educates, showcases and supports women entrepreneurs as they seek capital and build their businesses.

Venable has been a Springboard patron since 2005 and, during that time, has represented Springboard on a pro bono basis on matters ranging from employment and contract disputes to securities compliance issues. Carmen Fonda, a lawyer in the Business Transactions Group, leads the Venable team serving Springboard.
