Last week Venable announced that Peter Koffler had joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the real estate group. Koffler brings a broad range of real estate experience representing owners, developers, investors and financial institutions in significant range of transactions.

Since joining Venable, multiple publications have featured Koffler’s move including the February 2, 2012 issue of Bloomberg, the February 3, 2012 issues of Thomson Reuters News & Insight, The AmLaw Daily, and Law360, and the February 4, 2012 issue of Citybizlist.

Speaking with Law360 about his move, Koffler said he came to Venable for the opportunity to lead a practice group, saying, “Venable is that unique mix of a high-quality, large platform firm that also understands aggressive and entrepreneurial pricing, which is the right business model for today's real estate legal market.” Koffler added, “The game plan is to build a first-rate transactional real estate practice in New York.” Commenting on his strategy and plans for the practice, Koffler said, “The approach we want to take is getting repeat business and building long-term working relationships… In my view, that's the way both you and your clients make money, is in the long run."
