On April 18, 2012 Law360 and MarketWatch featured Venable’s latest win on behalf of Merck. On Wednesday, New Jersey state court jury found in favor of Merck for the fifth time in a bellwether case in multidistrict litigation that alleged Fosamax causes jaw related problems.
This was the sixth case to go to trial, of which Merck has won five. Four trials were conducted in the Southern District of New York as part of the federal multidistrict litigation proceedings.
