Venable recently announced the addition of Stacie Tobin to the Commercial Litigation Group as partner in the firm's Baltimore office. Tobin has extensive experience litigating commercial disputes, with a particular focus on real estate matters on behalf of investors, developers, lenders and other stakeholders. On November 29, 2012 Law360 and Thomson Reuters News & Insight "Career Tracker" featured Tobin's move to Venable.
Speaking with Law360 about her move, Tobin called Venable the "perfect forum for her practice," adding that she is "impressed with Venable's presence in Maryland and the greater Baltimore area." Tobin also said "The focus at Venable is a little bit different" and the "local and regional presence sets the firm apart" from her previous firm.
