Justin Pierce was recognized on March 1, 2018, by the National Law Journal as a 2018 Trailblazer in Intellectual Property. Here is an excerpt:

Pierce began his legal career at Venable as an IP litigation attorney. Then, he went in-house to Sony Ericsson. "I did everything from patent litigation to heading up brand protection and the trademark group. That gave me a lot of international IP experience, especially within the mobile device industry." He returned to Venable in 2011. "There, I replicated what I did in-house, but for multiple clients in technology and other industries. I deal with an array of cutting-edge and emerging IP issues every day, dealing with the internet, social media, and even infringement on the dark web." Last year, Pierce successfully represented a number of high-end consumer products brands against infringers who marketed knock-off products online or on social media. "Our team's strategy has always been to put an end to the infringement while at the same time educating the marketplace on the dangers of knockoffs."
