Sarah Brooks' arrival to Venable as partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice in the Los Angeles office was featured in the Daily Journal on June 1, 2018. According to Ms. Brooks, the move was a result of her practice's national and international nature.
"I think when I looked at my clients and where I was, [Stradling] was California-focused. All my clients are either international or sell their products nationally" she said. "Venable seemed like a firm that could add value to the clients I have."
Susan Hollander added that with the firm looking to expand its intellectual property practice, hiring Brooks was an easy call.
"When I met her, I knew immediately she was someone I wanted in the group. It was instantaneous," Hollander said.
Hollander added that Brooks' experience in patent trial and federal court litigation is a huge asset, and that she is always glad to get more women involved in the firm at a high level.
