On May 3, 2019, following a five-day trial, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware returned a favorable verdict for Venable's client, Vectura Ltd., in a lawsuit brought against GlaxoSmithKline LLC and Glaxo Group Ltd. (GSK) for infringing a patent covering three important GSK medications used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma (Breo Ellipta, Anoro Ellipta, and Incruse Ellipta). The eight-member jury also found that GSK willfully violated Vectura's patent, which potentially allows argument for enhanced damages.

The Venable trial team was led by Christopher Borello and included Dom Conde, Brendan O'Malley, Damien Dombrowski, Josh Calabro, Michael Scerbo, Zachary Garrett, and Sean McDonagh; paralegals Launa Willingham and Jason Perlman; and legal administrative assistant Joann Behan.
