Washington, DC (July 23, 2019) – Noise in the Basement, a local alt-rock band featuring Venable attorneys Andrew Price, Damon Wright, Stephanie Delong, and Steve Freeland, will be featured as the returning champion in the fifth annual Law Rocks DC battle of the bands fundraiser on September 12, 2019, at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. Noise in the Basement is seeking to hold their champion title for a fourth year running. In 2018, the group raised more than $20,000 in donations, ticket sales, and sponsorships, of which more than $8,000 was donated to Venable's pro bono client, Together We Bake. Venable has raised more than $25,000 for Together We Bake in the last four years of this event, with a fundraising total of more than $60,000, a portion of which supports Law Rocks and its nonprofit efforts.
Law Rocks hosts a series of battle of the band fundraising concerts in cities across the globe, starring local legal professionals. Their mission is to promote music education for underprivileged youth and raise funds for local nonprofit organizations by combining the power of music and the generosity of the global legal community.
